Chef George Koumpouris
Born and raised in Athens, Greece, he has roots from Constantinople and Kefalonia. He began his culinary trip 22 years ago, when he started studying to become a chef in Athens and then in Paris, Tokyo, Singapore, Thailand and since, has never stopped learning about all the aspects of nutrition, health and human body. His most recent degree has to do with Fitness Nutrition.
He absolutely loves travelling and getting to know new cultures since he believes that this is the only way to get to understand the world. Maybe this is the reason why he chose the culinary path: it’s an endless adventure, with multiple colors, tastes and unique moments. A trip that is guiding the traveler to explore unknown aspects.

The closer one is to nature the more he can interpret the raw material and get inspired to create extraordinary dishes. Respecting nature equals self-respect.
Gastronomic style: simplicity stimulated by nature, having as a thread healthy choices and environmental respect. Balance is key to constitute the perfect recipe: balance among taste, texture, color, technique, location, timing and value in the raw materials.
His work: He has a very diverse experience in multiple countries. He has worked in restaurants, hotels and as a private chef for country leaders and well known personalities.
His way of life, can be captured in one word: Zen. Accept everything that comes your way and enjoy every moment of it.
When he is not creating new recipes, he is windsurfing, traveling with his camera and shooting nature and food… he is a travel lover “he was born, as he says, to travel the world, taste diverse flavours, and meet all the different cultures.” He gets inspired by listening people’s stories.
